Save money on utilities

ASCL is pleased to announce a new partnership with LSI utility brokers to help schools and colleges reduce their utility bills.

After staff wages, utilities are the second biggest expenditure for schools and colleges. There are now new energy initiatives available to help members to control their energy usage and at the same time reduce carbon emissions.

Smart metering: This monitors gas, electricity and water consumption on a monthly basis and provides a consumption profile highlighting wastage and inefficiency. This data can also be used to validate invoices from suppliers and enable budgets to be managed more efficiently. No more estimates - you pay for what you consume.

Carbon reduction: The government has set a target to reduce Co2 emissions by 20 per cent by 2010. To achieve this, the government is offering technical assistance and funding to public sector organisations, with initial free site surveys. An experienced, listed consultant will advise on energy saving measures that could cut carbon emissions and up to 30 per cent off energy bills. Grants of up to £10,000 are also available. LSI can advise about this.

In an ever-changing market, LSI has more than 14 years' experience in the energy market and can offer expert advice, as well as competitive contract rates for gas, electricity and telecoms, due to its vast buying power with all major suppliers.
