Cyber bullying

Colleagues who have to deal with cyber harassment, either of pupils or staff, may find the information from the Anti-bullying Network at www.antibullying.net/cyberbullying1.htm very useful.

It provides a comprehensive list of telephone and internet providers and their contact numbers to report cyber bullying. This includes website abuse reporting contacts for Yahoo Messenger, MySpace and Bebo.

Members may wish to print copies of these contact numbers and make them available in a suitable, visible location such as school office or pastoral centre so that immediate action can be taken when harassment of either a pupil or member of staff is in question.
