Have your say on SIMS
Would you like to influence the development of the SIMS system? Capita Children's Services has recently entered into a partnership with ASCL in order to support the large number of our members who use SIMS.
Starting in the autumn term ASCL members will have the opportunity to attend one of four free workshops which will explore how SIMS should be addressing the needs of 21st century schools.
Each workshop will take place in a school and is targeted at around 30 senior leaders who have an interest in the strategic role of information and data - no technical expertise required.
The programme will include:
a look at future needs
focused discussions on current themes such as real time reporting and 14-19
examples of good practice
a chance to air views on controversial issues such as interoperability
Most importantly the workshops will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in discussion with and give feedback on your experience to senior Capita staff. All costs are being covered by Capita Children's Services as part of their partnership with ASCL but these will not be marketing or sales events. The one-day workshops will take place around England and Wales with the first one scheduled for 16 October in Cardiff.
