14-19 diploma gateway guidance

The diploma gateway guidance has now been published by the DfES. The guidance provides information for those who wish to offer one or more of the first five diploma lines in September 2008. In order to do so, schools, colleges, and other providers, working in partnership, will be required to go through the gateway.

Regional panels of experts led by the government office director for children and learners will assess bids in early 2007. Diplomas will be introduced progressively from September 2008 across England in 14 areas of study covering the main occupational sectors.
