ASCL members on honours list
ASCL sends sincere congratulations to all members who were honoured in the New Year's Honours list. It is gratifying to see so many education practitioners recognised for their hard work and dedication on the front line.
In the honours list:
Sir Keith Ajegbo, most recently head of Deptford Green School in London, received a knighthood for services to education.
Dame Yasmin Bevan, head of Denbigh High School in Luton, received a DBE for services to education.
Mary McLaughlin received a CBE for services to education. She is principal Notre Dame New Learning Community in Glasgow.
Dr John Trigg, vice-principal of Tomlinscote School in Surrey received an MBE
Those honoured with an OBE are:
Sister Rosaire Boden, principal of Dominican College in Belfast
Nicolas Brown, principal of Oldham Sixth Form College
John D'Abbro, head of New Rush Hall Group in London
David Heaton, principal of Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington
Dr Joseph McKee, principal of City of Belfast of Music
Graham Taylor, lately head of The Downs Secondary School, Newbury, for services to education
