I'm not 'Lovin' it'
Has anyone noticed the irony spotted during the NAHT annual conference recently?
Our school has spent the last few months negotiating a healthy food canteen to replace the traditional 'burgers and chips' meals that our pupils bought every day.
In the wake of Jamie Oliver's campaign and as one of the first schools to receive the national Healthy Schools award, we felt that it was important to make a stand against junk food.
Imagine my surprise therefore, when, on tuning into the news, I discovered that the National Association of Head Teachers' conference was sponsored by none other than McDonald's! How on earth can that be justified?
I strongly hope that SHA will never put sponsorship before the health of children.
