Rosanne Musgrave Field officer

Rosanne joined the team of field officers five years ago, initially concentrating on the needs of the south and west and more recently on north London and the Home Counties.

An English teacher by trade, she taught in four schools in London before becoming a head in 1989. In 1999, she served as president of the Girls' Schools Association.

After making constant efforts to urge students to extend themselves and take on new challenges, Rosanne set out to follow her own advice and began the new millennium by taking on a variety of consultancy work and training, along with the role of field officer.

Rosanne lives in London and enjoys DIY, letterpress printing and visiting farmers' markets. She also loves driving - a useful enthusiasm for a field officer! She says, "It is a pleasure and a privilege to be able to visit so many schools and to continue to learn so much all the time."

Janet Jones PA to John Dunford

It's hard enough to keep up with John Dunford but, as his PA, Janet manages to stay one step ahead. She joined SHA 18 months ago and is responsible for making sure that John's role as general secretary runs as smoothly as possible.

SHA is the third membership organisation that Janet has worked for, the others being the Leicester-based Hosiery Manufacturers' Association and the Institution of Fire Engineers. While raising a family, she worked part-time as a classroom assistant and then for 12 years as administration manager in two local schools.

Although still relatively new to SHA, Janet said she feels very much part of the team and thoroughly enjoys working with John and meeting as many SHA members as possible.

She and husband Richard have two grown up daughters. Claire is married and Lucy is working in Australia. In her leisure time she enjoys meeting with friends, cooking, holidays and family life.
