Inspection product withdrawn

Tribal Education has withdrawn two product offers to schools following concerns raised by ASCL members. The association felt that the products compromised Tribal's position as Ofsted inspection contractor for the Midlands.

The products were 'a confidential report on your SEF' and 'an analysis of Panda plus SEF'. A letter from Ofsted to ASCL stated that the company was not in breech of Ofsted requirements since the products were not available in the region in which it provides inspection services.

However, the letter also stated: "Tribal have agreed that they would not wish it to be perceived that they make additional profits out of schools, and so have cancelled these products with immediate effect."
