Members will find the full proposal for constitution changes in their May mailing pack. Questions regarding the changes can be emailed to carole.baldam@ascl.org.uk but please note that members will need to attend the AGM in order to vote.

Marks for good behaviour

Good practice guidance on behaviour, titled What Works in Schools, has been published by the DfES stakeholder group on school behaviour and attendance.

ASCL is a member of the group, which is following up the recommendations of the practitioners' group chaired by Sir Alan Steer.

The new guidance follows on from the Steer report Learning Behaviour and offers advice to schools on how to develop their own policies and practices on behaviour.
