Improvements to safer recruitment training

In response to feedback on the safer recruitment online training, NCSL has been working with stakeholders to improve the course assessment, in particular to remove ambiguity and lack of clarity from the questions. A revised course assessment came online on 12 October.

In addition, NCSL is shortly to introduce feedback into the course assessment which will provide candidates with information about their responses and areas of the course which they might wish to review. ASCL members who have not yet completed the training are urged to do so.

NCSL has also developed workshops based on the online materials, which will be targeted at a wider audience including those in schools who cannot access the online training. Heads and governors may attend these courses if they wish when they become available in the new year.
